You know it's time to stop drinking when...

After dinner this evening Hazel was sitting on Andy's lap. He was wearing a shirt with 16 Marvel Comics super heroes on it and Hazel was trying to identify them.

Hazel: Who's this?

Andy: Swamp Thing

Hazel: Who's this?

Andy: Captain America.

Hazel: Who's this?

Andy: Human Torch.

Hazel: Who's this?

Andy: I don't know. Why don't you name him Hazel?

Hazel: Hmmmm...I know his name...pauses...ALCOHOL!

One book that I wish had no end. It made me feel at home both in its story-telling and its vignettes of Chicago.
Irene Nemirovsky: Suite Francaise
Finished. An incredible and depressing account of France during the German invasion and occupation of WWII. Only the first two chapters in a story that was destined for five. It's upsetting to think that Ms. Nemirovsky never knew how the story ended.
Mark Haddon: The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time
I think this is a boy book. I liked it, but Andy really liked it.
